The holidays are pretty much here and the start of the new year is quickly approaching. Many of us will make New Year’s resolutions that we intend to keep, but really don’t. For the past five or so years, I would promise myself this is your year. At the start of 2015, I promised myself that this will be the year of change and progress. You know what? I did. The year of 2015 was a year of change and progress.
The year started off slow with change and progress; however I finally secured a job that uses my counseling degree. I started studying for the NCE, National Counselor Examination, in order to become a certified counselor. This is the first step to achieving my dream of becoming a LPC, licensed professional counselor. I knew I wanted too get healthy and lose weight while falling in love with myself in the process. I got the second part down, just working on part one, which is losing weight. I knew I wanted to own my own counseling practice, which I’m slowly working on. I feel like this blog can find jumpstart that dream of mine. I knew I wanted to get my life story out there. Bingo! Did that! I knew I wanted to become a yoga instructor and come March 2016 that dream will start to become a reality.
The only thing I didn’t plan for was falling in love with someone who is no longer in my life. I never knew I could love so deeply and so fast. He wasn’t my first love, but he is definately what I think is my true love.

If that quote is true, then he was my true love. If he doesn’t come back, then I know it was never meant to be. I’m sad that I can’t experience this joy, this life I now have, with someone special. I’m again alone in this world. But that’s ok. I’m a strong woman who can achieve anything she puts her mind to.
Weight gain, weight loss, and everything healthy is a series of blog posts that I will be keeping on my journey of becoming a healthy person. I will share my experience of losing weight by living the tone it up lifestyle. Also, will be sharing the experience of becoming a yoga instructor once the class starts in March 2016.
Since one of the bucket list items is complete a 5K, I will do weekly updates on my progress of losing weight and getting physically fit in the process. I will start training with Couch to 5K at the start of the new year once the holidays are over. Until then I will continue going to the gym, going to yoga classes twice weekly, and eating lean, clean and green.
