There’s nothing like waking up after a rough workout the day before to screaming legs, sore arms, and a smile on your face. That’s what getting healthy and fit feels like. And I’m loving it. Yet, there is always going to be negativity in the back of my mind that says ‘you can’t do this’. I am even scared to know and feel what being skinny and fit feel like. I’m always been had extra weight on my body. How did I stop the negativity from blocking my way to success? I punched it out of my life…
I’m getting rid of the negative people in my life. Why lift a finger to hang out with the people you call friends when they don’t think about hanging out with you? So this is where fitness comes in. I will work out by myself if I have to until I meet the positive people that God placed in my life.
On Thanksgiving Eve, I went to a party at Springfield Country Club, which was a lot of fun. I met some friends there and we partied until the morning. Unfortunately, I didn’t get my TIU Booty Call in. A #TIUBootyCall is a morning workout that you do before anything else for the day. It starts your morning off right. Friday morning I went to Performance Fitness in Wynnewood for a Turkey Buster workout, which was boot camp style. It was a free class with a donation of a can good. It was really fun and I met a new friend there!
So after trial and error I have my workout schedule set, so I’m prepared each morning. The schedule is…
- Monday: 7:30am Body Step
- Tuesday: 7:00am Yoga
- Wednesday: Cardio
- Thursday: 7:00 am Yoga
- Friday: 9:45am Body Pump
- Saturday: Cardio
- Sunday: Cardio
On the weekends, I try to go easy on my body because after working for 5 days a week, I like to relax, but keep my body active. I’m so grateful to Tone It Up. I have been a member beginning this past summer. As a member I received a weekly workout schedule and a nutrition plan. However, being a member is so much more than it seems! The best past is there is a TIU community of women of all ages around the world that support you and plan meet ups in your area. I’m a part of the TIU Philly group.

It’s been a long rocky road for me and my fitness, but I’m going to keep trucking till I get where I need to be. You can follow my journey on Instagram! This week I won’t post a weekly post of me in my bikini because of the week I had working out and nutrition. I wasn’t my best, but I did not fall back into my worst. Next week I promise a picture in my bikini and I will post them side by side so I can see the progress made now that I have my gym schedule down pat.
