Workout Wednesday: Yoga Info Meeting

Last Friday, I went to an information meeting regarding yoga teacher training that will start March 2016. I am so excited to start the training and they could tell too. They asked me if I had support from my family, which I do. For Christmas, my mom gave me $500 towards the $2,250.00 tuition and my aunt gave me $30 towards the tuition. This means I just have to budget my money to give them the rest, which is $1,720.00 However, I chose option B for the payment plan, which means I owe $1,000 by February 19, $700 April 1, and the rest $700 on May 1. If I get my income tax in on time, I’ll use that for the tuition. My cousin gave me a book titled 1,000+ yoga positions that you can find at 5below as a christmas present as well.

During the time there, they asked me when did I start my yoga practice, where do I normally practice yoga, and why do I want to become a yoga teacher. I started yoga when I was 18 years old as a freshman at Cabrini. I took classes at Cabrini, at my gym, at Sangha Space, at the New Leaf Club, and practiced in my house. I have never tried hot yoga and Dana has a $5 teacher training course almost every weekend. I plan on doing that in the near future.

During my time at the information meeting I told the instructors that I was depressed and suicidal until I found yoga. Yoga helped me so much with my self esteem and my depressing that I want to give back. One day, I will own my own counseling practice where I can combine counseling and yoga in one. I’m hoping to do that for my 30th birthday. I think that would be a great gift!

During my time at the yoga, we also made Thieves Oil spray. Thieves Oil is a proprietary blend of Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary Essential Oils. You can use Thieves Oil Spray to clean toys, sanitize public restroom seats, wipe down cutting boards, wash fruits and vegetables, freshen gym bags, clean airplane armrests and serving trays, or spray in the room to remove musty or heavy food odors. The proprietary essential oil blend was university tested for its cleaning abilities. It is also highly effective in supporting the immune system and good health.

How to make Thieves Oil Spray.

  • 2 oz dark glass spray bottle
  • 1 tsp organic witch hazel
  • 10-15 drops of Young Living Thieves oil
  • Almost 2oz. of distilled water

A little background on Thieves Essential Oil:

In the late Middle Ages, Europe was devastated by the Black Plague. Out of this period, a legend emerged of four thieves who were captured and charged with robbing the dead and dying victims. When they were tried, the officials offered leniency if they would reveal how they didn’t contract the contagious disease. They admitted using a special concoction of aromatic herbs, including garlic, cloves, and rosemary, that they rubbed on themselves before committing their crimes.

As a NYR Organic consultant, we do not have Thieves Oils but we have similar essential oils.

As always, kisses on the peace sign fingers and love…

XO Jenn
